When I started writing again, I had no plans to open up my words for public viewing. The evolution of Bolder Joce centers my journey with love, loss, and healing. The topics are raw, vulnerable and yet, life is tender — is it not? It’s been a beautiful ride coming up on almost 1-year since I started www.bolderjoce.com.

I’ve written some riveting things…Published in a local magazine and debuted as a book contributor. On the blog, it’s been some of my rawest feelings while treading new waters of life.

It’s been an incredible experience. It’s been a hard one too. I’m thankful for each and every one of my followers who read, comment, and share.

Rising in 2023

My intentions for 2023 are summed up in my word of the year, rise. I’ll rise with new skills, more content, and more opportunities. To rise, I’ll surrender to what life is trying to show and tell me. My heart is open to more lessons, experiences, and ways to approach life.

I recently read Unprotected a memoir by Billy Porter. The book is a true north of what’s possible when you cancel the noise, double dutch on adversity, and take unapologetic steps to greatness. On his deathbed, a friend named Delby told Billy: remember to live. It’s those three words I’m holding close while straddling immense joy and pain.

To my followers, it’s a heartfelt thank you. I wish you all a 2023 that offers you warmth and a gentle reminder to live. Live and love greatly. There’s no time to play small.
