Love like matcha lattes and warm butter croissants

A poem called True

April was a pretty day

Rainy and windy

Boy, did I look pretty

Ran fast,

Had a blast

Made magic last

Felt the brandness of brand new days

And new profound ways

To practice love, and

Simply be.

- poetic reflections through the shine and haze of April 2024

My top 10 breathtaking moments of April. I want to forever etch these down memory lane:

  1. Watching an eagle soar while having one of my most enlightening life conversations.

  2. Saying no to something big. Choosing to walk away and not feel bad about it.

  3. Reaching a personal record half marathon 2:17:36… and ran my funky attitude away.

  4. Experiencing magical adventures with family.

  5. Witnessing a friend go on the trip of a lifetime; she went solo, brave, and bold. Love you Kules.

  6. Kaiden waking to a star bursting sunrise and capturing the moment.

  7. Singing karaoke with the crew and remembering Jasmine…Happy heavenly birthday Queen, 37 looks good.

  8. Watching the world stop for a rainbow.

  9. Feeling love closer to the 5th dimension.

  10. My selfie collage - ready, reimagine, raise, the glow. Thank you Reviving Roots

A photo book of April

If you ever need to know, I love a matcha latte swirled with the smoothness oat milk. I love a warm butter croissant that breaks apart my gluten free attitude and melts my worries. If you find yourself in a moment of delight, you know the feeling. The propensity of what good food, good people, and what a kind word can do. Comforting.

I love a good moment to walk aimlessly. To talk with a trusted counselor shamelessly. To be in space with people that make me feel like an elastic band that stretches open freely and willingly. A band that lets people open themselves too. I delight in knowing April was good to me. Despite the many challenges, I found my way to shine brighter, take breaks faster, and live a bit more fuller.

What touches me the most is how important it is to make choices and know we always have choices to live more fuller lives. Day by day and brick by brick.
